  • Elite Representation Asia Pacific (Elite) appointed to carry out trade activity
  • Tourism Western Australia representation in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane
  • Will help drive more interstate visitors to Western Australia to fill our hotel rooms and grow jobs

Following an open tender process, Tourism Western Australia has appointed Elite Representation Asia Pacific (Elite) as its trade marketing engagement representative on Australia’s east coast.

“Congratulations to Elite for winning the tender process and being awarded the contract to represent our extraordinary State in the Eastern States.” Minister for Tourism Paul Papalia said.

“The team has an impressive knowledge and experience in trade engagement and marketing and, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, will be able to give Tourism Western Australia the extra representation it needs in those key markets to increase visitation.”

Elite is a sales and marketing company with offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, giving Western Australia a physical presence in each city.

Elite, which is owned and operated by Pat Monneron, has a wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of the travel and hotel industries.

Elite will increase Western Australia’s profile with key distribution partners including travel agents and wholesalers to ensure more Western Australia products are sold as part of travel packages to interstate visitors.

Representatives will also focus on improving the trade industry’s knowledge of Perth and Western Australia through a comprehensive trade strategy including an annual roadshow.

Elite will report to Tourism Western Australia when the contract begins tomorrow (December 11).

It is the first Tourism Western Australia representation on the east coast in 7 years, after the previous government shut the service down in 2010.

Appointment is a direct response from the McGowan Government’s first Tourism Industry Consortium which was held earlier in the year.
