Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Car – Dover Heights
Investigators are appealing for public assistance after a pedestrian sustained serious injury following a motor vehicle collision at Dover Heights overnight.
About 2.30 am today (Monday 28 December 2009), an 18-year-old female was driving a 2008 Yaris hatchback on Hardy Road when the vehicle struck a 31-year-old male pedestrian.
The driver failed to stop the car and drove to her Dover Heights home, alerting her father to the collision.
Police were contacted and an investigation was commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The pedestrian was treated at the scene before being taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital where he has undergone surgery for serious pelvis and leg injuries.
