Tickets are on sale today for the Australian premiere of the hit Broadway musical Disney’s Frozen in Sydney next year.

Coveted musical is among an impressive list of productions secured for the State by the New South Wales Government via its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.

Minister for Tourism Stuart Ayres said Disney’s Frozen is a must-see show.

“Frozen the Musical is a sensation that continues to captivate audiences on Broadway.” Minister Ayres said.

“New South Wales Government is delighted Sydney is the first city outside of North America to have secured the highly acclaimed and sought-after musical adaptation which further reinforces our state’s reputation as Australia’s cultural capital.”

“This hit musical will attract an estimated 73,000 visitors to our spectacular Harbour City who will inject more than $46 Million into our economy.”

“I strongly encourage anyone interested in seeing this spectacular production to purchase tickets early.” Minister Ayres said.

“From the time we announced that Frozen the Musical would be opening in Sydney in July 2020, we have received the most overwhelming response from the public.” Senior Vice-President and Managing Director, The Walt Disney Company (Australia & New Zealand), Kylie Watson-Wheeler said.

“It is thrilling that Australia is the first international destination for this beautiful production and we cannot wait to open it at the spectacular Capitol Theatre in Sydney.”

Disney’s Frozen will be presented at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre from 7 July 2020.
