Northern Territory Chief Minister Elect Terry Mills
A Real Plan To Bring Change For The Better
Victor P Taffa
The Country Liberals will change the Territory for the better, with a suite of policies to crack down on crime, grow the economy and cut debt.
Speaking at the Anula home of Darwin bus driver Vern Taylor, Chief Minister Elect Terry Mills said his team is ready to govern the Territory and create a better future for all workers and families.
“Vern is a typical Territorian who has been a victim of crime and unhappy at the lack of consequence.” Mr. Mills said.
“His house was broken into late last year, about $17,500 worth of property was stolen and, he understands, the offender only copped a 130 hour community work order.”
“Unlike Labor, the Country Liberals want to crack down on crime by putting 120 extra Police on the beat, getting problem drunks off the streets, introducing tougher penalties for one-punch killings and assaulting a public service provider as well as making bail tougher for repeat violent assault.” Mr. Mills said.
“The Country Liberals have a 5-point plan for growth and a 100-day implementation plan that will see real change on the ground.”
“Our Planning Commission will make tough decisions around planning and development and our 3-hub economy will focus on mining and energy, tourism and education and food exports.” Mr. Mills said.
