Police Seek Public Assistance To Locate Missing 12-Year-Old Boy – Burwood
Police from Burwood Local Area Command are appealing for public assistance in locating a child who was been missing since last night in Sydney’s west.
12-year-old Jeonghyeon (Peter) Hong was last seen by his family about 7.30pm when he attended Burwood Park, Burwood for a Christmas celebration.
He went missing after leaving his family to purchase some food in the park.
After a search of the surrounding area and the boy’s home was conducted by the family with no success, police were notified.
An extensive search has been underway however, Peter remains missing.
Police and Peter’s family say it is out of character for the child to be missing, and there have been no previous incidents like this.
He is described as being 12-years-old, 155-165cm tall, with a black bob haircut, of Asian appearance. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt with yellow lettering, blue shorts, grey Nike sneakers and white socks.
Peter is a Korean national and has limited English.
