Green Must Go – FT Workers No Longer Have Confidence In Forestry Minister

Victor P Taffa

Today I tabled a petition in Parliament signed by 301 Forestry Tasmania workers some 90 % of the workforce, expressing a lack of confidence in the actions of Forestry Minister Bryan Green, while also backing their former Chair Miles Hampton, Opposition Leader Will Hodgman said.

“On his sudden and unexpected resignation Mr. Hampton said “I resigned because I no longer have confidence in the assurances given to me by government, nor do I support the policies of the government…”

“It seems the FT workforce share Mr. Hampton’s views.”

“It says a lot about the ineptness of the Forestry Minister when the only people that think he is doing a good job are the Greens.” Mr. Hodgman said.

“Bryan Green must do the right thing and resign. He cannot continue as Forestry Minister when he no longer has the support or confidence of those who work for him.” Mr. Hodgman said.
