Lara Giddings Must Sack Bryan Green

Premier Lara Giddings first order of business upon returning from overseas today must be to sack the worst performing Forestry Minister in the history of Tasmania, according to Opposition Leader Will Hodgman.
“Bryan Green has categorically failed the industry he is supposed to support. He has misled and deserted the people he is supposed to represent.”
“He has capitulated to the Greens who are now dictating forestry policy in Tasmania, which has caused the business community to say they are losing confidence in the government.”
“Forest industry stakeholders have walked away from the government’s forestry so called ‘peace talks’.” Mr. Hodgman said.
“The chairman of Forestry Tasmania has resigned because he has no confidence in Bryan Green or his policies.”
“Mr. Green has repeatedly told the forest industry he will do something, then flipped his position after getting his instructions from the Greens.” Mr. Hodgman said.
“Mr. Green has also been caught out reneging on commitments he made to the Tasmanian people in July about providing the forestry industry with 155,000 cubic metres of high quality sawlog per year.”
“Bryan Green simply cannot be trusted. He has lost the confidence of not only the forestry industry and bureaucracy, but also business community and Tasmanian public. Premier Giddings must show some leadership and sack him.” Mr. Hodgman said.
