The 2012-2013 redivision of State electoral boundaries made the following changes to the boundaries of Box Hill District.

Box Hill Lost:

2,824 electors to Burwood District (Part of Surrey Hills)

734 electors to Hawthorn District (Part of Canterbury)

6,613 electors to Kew District (Part of Balwyn North).

Box Hill Gained:

14,048 electors from Mitcham District (Blackburn. Parts of Blackburn North, Forest Hill and Nunawading.).

Eastern Metropolitan Region

Election Results:

Two-party preferred vote, 2010 State election:

ALP:               12,677             36.2%

Liberal:            22,346             63.8%

Estimated two-party preferred vote on 2014 boundaries:*
