Border Mail Sets Example For Big Metro Newspapers

Deputy Leader of the Nationals in the Senate, Fiona Nash has congratulated Albury’s Border Mail newspaper after the editorial team won two Walkley Awards for journalism.

“This shows quality journalism is alive and thriving in regional Australia and I congratulate Editor Di Thomas and her team.” Senator Nash said.

“It also sets an example that the big metropolitan newspapers would do well to follow.”

“I commend the Border Mail for its commitment to ensuring the voice of regional people is heard.” Senator Nash said.

The Border Mail won one Walkley for its Ending the Suicide Silence campaign and a second for Journalism Leadership.
