Two months ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Since then, I have had surgery and am currently undergoing chemotherapy and the prognosis is good, Minister for Agriculture and Food Alannah MacTiernan said.

“My hair has often been a topic of discussion among the political class: I have always wanted the opportunity to wear wigs, now I have an excuse.”

“Tens of thousands of Australian women go through this process. Everyone deals with it in their own way, I am focused on getting on with my job, as I have continued to do for the last two months.” Minister MacTiernan said.

“I won’t be providing further public commentary on this issue, and would ask media to respect that position.”

The Southern Thunderer and Editor Victor P Taffa wishes Minister Alannah MacTiernan all the very best in her recovery.

Editor Victor P Taffa has not met Minister MacTiernan before however in reporting news all people hope that Minister MacTiernan recovers her health.

It is incumbent upon all Governments and the Medical Profession to fund medical research and find a cure for all forms of cancer.
