Two Teenagers Charged With Attempted Murder After Serious Attack On Man – Toongabbie
Two teenagers have been charged with attempted murder after an alleged attack on a man in Sydney’s North West yesterday.
About 12.30am a 22-year-old man was at his home in Targo Road, Toongabbie when he answered a knock at the door before being attacked by a group of at least five people.
The man was allegedly struck repeatedly to the head with a hammer, a glass bottle and a chair.
The victim sustained a fractured skull and was taken by ambulance to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition, where he underwent surgery.
Detectives from Holroyd Local Area Command attended the scene and located two youths nearby.
The two 15-year-old youths, from Oxley Park and Guildford, were arrested and taken to Merrylands Police Station.
The pair was subsequently charged with one count each of attempted murder and affray.
Both males have been refused bail and are due to appear at Parramatta Children’s Court today.
Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
