Fishmongers Targeted In Christmas Eve Robbery – Concord

Police are hunting four men following an armed raid on a seafood business at Concord, in Sydney’s inner-west.

Three balaclava-clad men – one of them armed with a firearm – entered the Gale Street store just before 5pm yesterday (Thursday 24 December) and ordered staff and customers to the ground.

The offenders then stole a significant sum of cash before fleeing through a rear door and getting into a waiting car, which was being driven by a fourth man.

No shots were fired and no one was injured in the incident.

Police from Burwood Local Area Command and the Forensic Armed Robbery attended the scene and conducted inquiries. Investigators are now seeking public help to locate those responsible.

The first man has been described to Police as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, 170-175cm tall with a solid build, dark tanned complexion, brown eyes, and unshaven. He was wearing a black balaclava, black long-sleeve jumper, gloves, dark coloured pants and grey sneakers at the time of the incident.

The second man has been described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, 170-175cm tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black balaclava, dark coloured long-sleeved hooded jumper, dark coloured pants and gloves.

The third man has been described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, 170-175cm tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black balaclava, dark coloured long-sleeved hooded jumper, dark coloured pants, white gloved and was carrying a shotgun at the time of the robbery.

The driver of the getaway car has only been described as being male.
