Police Investigate Stabbing – Ambarvale

A teenager is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed at Ambarvale last night (11 January).

About 6:45 pm, it is believed a 17-year-old male and another male were on a bus heading towards Ambarvale when they became involved in a verbal argument.

The pair got off the bus at Copperfield Drive near Hartsford Road, Ambarvale where they continued to argue.

During the incident the 17-year-old was assaulted and sustained a number of stab wounds to his chest before the other male fled the scene.

Police and Paramedics were called and the teenager was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

A crime scene was established at Copperfield Drive with local detectives and crime scene officers conducting investigations into the matter.
