Screen Grants Program Now Open

Minister for Arts and Museums Matt Conlan has invited Territory film makers and screen organisations to apply for a share of up to $336,000 in funding for screen projects and activities.
Mr. Conlan said the funding would provide a boost for the local screen industry.
“The Northern Territory Government funds the Screen Territory Grants Program, which supports the development of the screen industry in the Northern Territory.” Mr. Conlan said.
“The Program aims to increase the amount of screen production taking place in the Territory. More film and television programs about the Territory are important to help tell our story and enhance our reputation as being home to unique landscapes and diverse cultures.”
“The development and growth of our screen sector will benefit the Northern Territory community and economy.”
The Screen Territory Grants Program includes:
- Screen Culture Funding available for events and activities that provide a screen experience, and encourage promotion of the screen industry to the Northern Territory public. Previously supported activities include Cinema by the River, Fist Full of Films, the Sydney Travelling Film Festival and the Darwin International Film Festival.
- Industry Development Funding aims to provide opportunities for skills training, professional development and building partnerships within the local screen industry.
- Project Development Funding aims to support the development of home grown stories that showcase the Territory and Territory stories to audiences in Australia and around the world.
- Production Funding aims to support the growth and sustainability of the Northern Territory screen industry by supporting the production of home grown screen stories.
