Police Arrest Twentieth Person Following Identity Fraud – Strike Force Gamut

Strike Force Gamut officers have arrested and charged a woman, the twentieth person to be arrested, following investigations into serious identity fraud offences.

Detectives attached to Harbourside Local Area Command established the Strike Force to investigate the activities of an organised crime syndicate allegedly involved in a multi-million dollar fraud racket.

As a result of investigations, about 3pm yesterday (17 December 2009) a 44-year-old Blacktown woman attended North Sydney Police Station where she was arrested by investigators.

The woman was charged with two counts of recklessly deal with proceeds of crime and granted conditional bail to appear at North Sydney Local Court on 12 January 2010.

Strike Force Gamut investigators have now arrested a total of twenty people.
