3 Western Australian steel fabrication businesses have received funding by the State Government’s popular Industry Facilitation and Support Program.

“McGowan Government made an election commitment to support businesses and put Western Australia jobs first.” Minister for Commerce and Industrial Relations Bill Johnston said.

“Funding will help support the steel fabrication industry, by creating jobs and paving the way for best practice and compliance in Western Australia’s construction sector.”

Australian Steel Institute recipients include local businesses:

  • Alltype Engineering,
  • Cays Engineering,
  • Minprovise International.

“Our Industry Facilitation and Support Program assist the industry in driving innovation and improvements in a very competitive market.” Mr. Johnston said.

A new round of funding has opened offering steel fabricators, galvanisers and finishers, 75 % of certification costs worth up to $10,000 that adhere to the new national AS/NZS 5131 standard.
