Airline Safety Is Why Australia Needs Railway Expansion

Victor P Taffa

Airline Safety is no more important than expanding Railway Lines and building High-Speed Rail. The Civil Aviation Authority (C.A.S.A) has been responsible in grounding Tiger Airways and previously Ansett Airways.

When successive New South Wales Government’s avoided improvements to the Sydney Railway Lines one ended up with the Granville Rail Disaster that on 18 January 1977 resulted in the death of 83 people and an injury toll of 211.

Australia deserves to have High-Speed Rail that gives people an alternative to Volcanic Ash delays and Airline maintenance issues.

Australia deserves to have options in how people can go from Point A to Point B and not be restrained in using roads that also become death traps.

Australia deserves better than having Parliament’s full of people who hate the Railways and find every excuse under the sun not to build Railway Lines.

The Federal Transport Minister Anthony Albanese is a nice person who means well. However it has been Mr. Albanese who has been responsible for the Albury Railway Line mud bake problem and now want to look good in the grounding of Tiger Airways.

One can’t have their cake and eat it too and High-Speed Rail must be built for Australia’s sake.

Volcanic Ash Is Why Australia Needs Railway Expansion

Victor P Taffa

The ongoing problems that beset Airlines caused by the Volcanic Ash Problem is all the more reason why Australia needs Railway Expansion.

Every Capital City throughout Australia has been affected by this Volcanic Ash issue and the loudest noise comes from Australia’s anti-Railway Politicians.

The case for a Rail Ferry To Tasmania has been strengthened as Hobart is hit by the Volcanic Ash blanket.

The loudest noise by anti-Railway Politicians came when Editor Victor P Taffa put his hand up to work for the Baillieu Government to give precisely what is needed.

Australia needs High-Speed Rail and a Rail Ferry To Tasmania.

What is not needed is an Industry Destroying anti-Railway Carbon Tax.

Does The Gillard Government Have A Traitor In Its Ranks?

Victor P Taffa

Some weeks ago in Sydney media an allegation was made against New South Wales Labor Senator Mark Victor Arbib. The allegation was that Senator Arbib was an informant to U.S. President Barack Obama against Australian citizens.

Should this allegation prove to have foundation this would leave Senator Arbib in a very difficult situation not just for his political career but could see the Senator end up in jail.

One of the Australian citizens allegedly being talked about is Editor Victor P Taffa and The Southern Thunderer in a negative light.

It should be noted that the ancestors of Editor Victor P Taffa came to Australia from Lebanon in the 1870’s and all members and descendants of the Taffa Family are Catholic Christian and as such not Muslim.

One matter that the U.S. tells Australia what to do is NOT to build Railway Lines. This anti-railway attitude of the U.S. is not just regrettable but is not the business of a foreign power to tell Australia what to do.

Australia and the United States have a strong and close relationship through times of war and peace. Editor Victor P Taffa supports the strong ties that we have with Washington however when it comes to building Railway Lines the U.S. should mind its own business.

Some might say that “so what Arbib was talking to Obama” or “the U.S. are our friends”

No politician has any place in informing on fellow Australians.

While the U.S. is an ally it is also a foreign power and as such the alleged actions of Senator Arbib are tantamount to treason.

Section 44 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Australia outlines the penalty and makes mention of the issue of treason or adherence to a foreign power.

Should the allegation against Senator Arbib be upheld then Senator Arbib would be ineligible to sit in Parliament.

The Senate or indeed the entire Parliament would have to convene as a Bar and not as a Parliament to decide on the fate of Senator Arbib.

While it is easy to throw political mud one only has to look back to when The Southern Thunderer was first published on 14 October 2009. In December 2009 The Southern Thunderer went Off-Line mysteriously for 8 days.

In March 2010 and 6 days after the South Australia and Tasmania State Elections Editor Victor P Taffa was placed in Macquarie Psychiatric Hospital that stopped the publication of The Southern Thunderer.12 months later and after the New South Wales Election Editor Victor P Taffa was again incarcerated in a Psychiatric Hospital that again stopped the publication of The Southern Thunderer.

The Federal Parliament must as one call Senator Arbib in and test the veracity of the allegation as there is no more serious matter than to potentially have a traitor in its ranks.

Royal Wedding Cakes

Victor P Taffa

Royal Wedding Cakes:

While in St. Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, Caritas Ward Victor P Taffa and Nurse Lucy excitedly discussed the pending Royal Wedding between H.R.H. Prince William and Miss Kate Middleton.

On Thursday 28th April as excitement mounted with the pending marriage of H.R.H. Prince William and Miss Kate Middleton, Victor P Taffa asked Nurse Lucy if we could have a double-layered chocolate cake for a Royal Wedding Cake. Nurse Lucy looked at me and said very little.

On Friday 29th April Nurse Lucy came into the ward with a Banana, Carrot and Chocolate Cake Mix. As the ward had a kitchen Nurse Lucy and I donned hair nets and gloves. Nurse Lucy worked in the kitchen and Victor P Taffa stood on the servery side. Together both of us stirred the mixtures as there were no electric beaters.

As Victor P Taffa was manually stirring the mixtures memories of his grandmother Zoe Sayegh came back when the margarine lumps had to be stirred and broken down to ensure a smooth consistency of mixture was guaranteed.

As there were limited cake trays the chocolate mix went in 2 rectangle trays which became 2 layers. The Carrot Mix went in a ring tin and the Banana Mix went in a cup cake tray.

The cakes worked a treat and were decorated with icing and nuts.

All 3 cakes were made by Nurse Lucy and Victor.

All 3 cakes were eaten by all staff and patients and extremely delicious.

No doubt the Royal Wedding Cakes made by Victor P Taffa and Nurse Lucy to celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Miss Kate Middleton ensured that the ceremony went off without a hitch.

Fair Swap Barry

Victor P Taffa

New South Wales Member for Ku-ring-gai Barry O’Farrell can make a choice. Allow Railway and Tramway Expansion to occur across Victoria and Australia through Victor P Taffa or deny a person with ability and talent to do the job. The choice for Barry O’Farrell is quite easy. Should he so wish Barry O’Farrell could resign as the Member for Ku-ring-gai and take his 16 year lump sum pension and work in a Senior Transport role under the loving care of Victoria Premier Ted Baillieu or allow Victor P Taffa to work for Premier Baillieu.

The Liberal Party of Australia was founded in 1944 by Sir Robert Menzies. The Party was established to give people with ability and talent to make Australia a great nation. This is why Victor P Taffa joined the New South Wales Division of the Liberal Party.

Railway Expansion has been made out to be some sort of socialistic notion. Railway Expansion has never been in contravention of Liberal Party Policy. After the October 2008 Ryde State By-Election efforts were made by Victor P Taffa to rejoin the Party and yet both New South Wales and Federal Liberal Leader Barry O’Farrell and Tony Abbott were either too weak or consumed with such objections that the New South Wales State Executive 10 year ban could not be overturned.

Now in the face of an historic and thoroughly overwhelming victory Barry O’Farrell can show some leadership and allow Victor P Taffa to be employed by the Baillieu Victoria Liberal Government in a Senior Transport role that includes Rail improvements in New South Wales as a result of the demand for High-Speed between Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane.

Loyalty: Faithful; Steadfast in allegiance; Devoted to Sovereign etc. Pocket Oxford Dictionary.

Politics: Science and Art of Government; Political Affairs or Life; Political Principles or Practice. Pocket Oxford Dictionary.

Editor Victor P Taffa’s interest in Politics was ignited in 1975 with the Whitlam Dismissal.

“My mother and my Aunts took me to the 1975 Liberal Party Election Campaign Rally that was held at Randwick Racecourse. The atmosphere was electric.” Victor remembered.

Victor joined the Liberal Party in December 1982 at the ripe old age of Seventeen. Months later, the Fraser Government was defeated by the Hawke Labor Opposition.

As the years went on, Victor was very active assisting in election campaigns for the Liberal Party. That record of assistance is as follows:

  • December 1982: Joined Liberal Party (NSW Division)
  • July 2009: Joined National Party (NSW Division)

  • 1983 Federal Election: Liberal Candidate for Dundas

It has been alleged that Barry O’Farrell MP:

  • Has been the subject of a Leadership Change to draft Joe Hockey MP into State Politics.
  • Dislikes Victor P Taffa.
  • Dislikes www.southernthunderer.com.au
  • Dislikes www.isput.com.au
  • STOPPED Victor P Taffa from rejoining the NSW Liberal Party in 2008.
  • Dislikes RailCorp.
  • Supported Metro Rail in 1995 to secure a Seat in Parliament.
  • Would have SACKED all Train Drivers and Guards.
  • STOPPED Liberal Transport Minister Bruce Baird from becoming NSW Premier.
  • Worked for Bruce Baird.
  • Thinks Victor P Taffa is uneducated.
  • As NSW Liberal Party State Director ignored Victor P Taffa’s request to work for the Liberal Party and looked through him as if he were not standing there.
  • As NSW Shadow Treasurer at the 2007 Election set up Leader Peter Debnam for a fall.
  • DID NOT wants Victor P Taffa at his 2011 Campaign Launch.
  • DID NOT wants Victor P Taffa at his 2011 Victory Celebration.

It can be alleged that:

  • New South Wales Labor MLC Paul O’Gready was Homosexual
  • New South Wales Liberal Wakehurst MP John Booth was Homosexual
  • New South Wales Legislative Council President Don Harwin was Homosexual
  • Sydney Radio 2GB Personality Alan Jones was Homosexual
  • Victor P Taffa was Homosexual

Company Executives of the following are currently denying their staffs the chance to travel on High-Speed Rail between Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane are as follows:

  • New South Wales Labor Party
  • New South Wales Police
  • New South Wales Health
  • Lindsay Fox Trucking;
  • Woolworths Ltd;
  • Coles Ltd;
  • Every Operating Airline within Australia;
  • Every Car Manufacturer within Australia;
  • Every Truck Manufacturer within Australia;
  • Every Bus Manufacturer within Australia;
  • Every Petrol Retailer within Australia;
  • Companies within Australia who have a vested interest to STOP Railway & Tramway Expansion.
  • This extends to Railway and Tramway Improvements and Expansion and a Rail Ferry to Tasmania.

Sydney and New South Wales urgently need both Railway and Tramway Expansion and it is the failure to expand Railway Lines over many decades and the abandonment of what was the second largest Tramway Network in the world has brought Sydney and New South Wales to the mess that we currently face.

The same applies for Melbourne and Victoria and the rest of Australia.

Prime Minister Gillard is attempting to bring in a Carbon Tax and Opposition Leader Tony Abbott is attempting to stop it. In 50 years time Prime Minister Gillard and Opposition Leader Tony Abbott will not be remembered for any wasted time on a Carbon Tax. What they would be remembered for is the Railway and Tramway Lines, High-Speed Rail and a Rail Ferry to Tasmania that they could build.

  • Former Prime Minister Billy Hughes has the Trans-Continental Railway to his name.
  • Former Prime Minister Sir Robert Menzies has the Standard Gauge Sydney-Melbourne Railway Line to his name.
  • Former Prime Minister Ben Chifley has the Snowy Hydro Scheme to his name.
  • Former Prime Minister John Howard has the Alice Springs-Darwin (Only Palmerston) Railway to his name.

Barry O’Farrell wants everyone to have the impression that like Former New South Wales Labor Premier Barrie Unsworth that he is everyone’s favourite uncle. Stopping what the silent majority want, need and desire will not make Barry O’Farrell appear as everyone’s favourite uncle.

The problem is that should Victor P Taffa be forced to remain living in Sydney Barry O’Farrell will endure a short-lived time as Premier of New South Wales because when the going gets politically tough the support required will not be there.

As the old saying goes: ‘A Week is a long time in politics.’

Respect

Victor P Taffa

Respect: v.t. Regard with deference or esteem; avoid interfering with or harming, treat with consideration; refrain from offending (Person or feelings), Pocket Oxford Dictionary.

People who have lead in times of crisis earn an inherit respect and support. Respect is earned and not bought by means of bullying.

People in a position of power who abuse that power earn no right to respect. People who seem to fear others for speaking the truth and supporting what is needed are weak and are simply glorified bullies.

Railway Expansion:

By rubbishing every intricate detail of the life of Victor P Taffa and use these excuses as reasons that he should not live in Victoria and work with the Baillieu Government is laughable. The silent majority will use new Railway Lines if anti-Rail Politicians and Company Executives got out of the way.

Tramway Expansion:

By rubbishing every intricate detail of the life of Victor P Taffa and use these excuses as reasons that he should not live in Victoria and work with the Baillieu Government is laughable.

Being forced to remain living in a miserable existence and have the New South Wales Police breathing down your back and watching every move that you make is no reason to respect the New South Wales Police. The New South Wales Police have trampled over the life of Victor P Taffa and as such have no right to any amount of respect.

October 2008 Ryde State By-Election:

At a Public Meeting held during the By-Election an attempt was made by Victor P Taffa as a Candidate in that By-Election to speak with Liberal Candidate Victor Dominello. There was a Liberal Party City of Ryde Councillor who physically assaulted Victor P Taffa and yelled out ‘Show some respect’ in reference to Victor Dominello.

Barry O’Farrell MP:

Barry O’Farrell unlike Former Prime Minister John Howard has chosen to walk over the top and crush at every turn Victor P Taffa. There has not been one occasion over many years where Barry O’Farrell has sought to use the talents or abilities of Victor P Taffa. Without any real regard to what is needed the Plans contained in www.isput.com.au have been condemned by Barry O’Farrell MP simply because of his inability or desire to build every new Railway Line in a 4 year time frame.

Stay with us:

Incarcerating a person to ‘Stay with us’  in New South Wales is no way to earn respect by Barry O’Farrell MP. This extends to ‘This is your home.’

We don’t need you:

There has been continuing slurs thrown at Victor P Taffa by the New South Wales Liberal and Labor Parties that ‘We don’t need you.’ This game extended to poisoning the Sydney Media Outlets against Victor P Taffa and ensuring that anyone with the Christian name of Victor was given an opportunity ahead of Victor P Taffa.

Victor P Taffa does not need to stay in New South Wales and does not need to work for Barry O’Farrell MP. Why hasn’t Barry O’Farrell MP supported RailCorp Expansion since 1995? These slurs have continued since 1982.

Where there is smoke there is fire:

Where there is smoke there is fire is a well known expression that suggests if truth exists in a rumour that over time always ensures that the rumour was true and not the lies used to cover-up the truth.

He has to be happy:

The New South Wales Liberal and Labor Parties have regularly said ‘That he has to be happy’ after the dirty games had been played and that they had got bored with playing that dirty game.

Why does this man bother?:

Why does this man bother is a line used against Former Prime Minister John Howard by the Sydney Media. The same line has been used against Victor P Taffa and The Southern Thunderer and Railway and Tramway Expansion.

John Robertson MP:

Victor P Taffa was the only person who publicly defended RailCorp, the Train Drivers and Guards  and the survival of the Network against that of any person in New South Wales.

When all is said and done all the years of abuse, lies and slurs against Victor P Taffa because of support for Railway and Tramway Expansion really shows how weak and cowardly people really are.

Living in Victoria and working with the Baillieu Government is a decent and worthwhile thing to do.

Australia’s Changing Political Landscape

Victor P Taffa

The winds of political change are sweeping across Australia’s Electoral Landscape following the New South Wales Election and the Landslide that has swept the Liberal/National Coalition to Power.

When Prime Minister John Howard ruled the roost for almost 12 years every State and Territory Government was Labor controlled over a long period of time. Following the outcome of the New South Wales Election the balance of power in the 6 State Government’s has split 50:50 with 3 Labor and 3 Liberal/National Coalition Government’s in office.

The introduction of the G.S.T. while a cash earner for State Government’s enabled Labor to entrench itself around the Nation. This factor was in addition to normal voting intentions being reversed at a State and Federal Level.

  • Federal:

The November 2007 Federal Election saw the return to office for Labor by Kevin Rudd. The August 2010 Federal Election produced a Minority Government led by Julia Gillard in a mirror outcome to that of the Tasmania Election.

  • New South Wales:

The March 2007 New South Wales Election saw Labor returned to office. The March 2011 New South Wales Election resulted in a landslide victory for the Liberal/National Coalition. The stench of New South Wales Labor has been removed after 16 long years.

  • Australian Capital Territory (ACT):

The October 2008 ACT Election produced a Labor victory with the next Election due in October 2012.

  • Northern Territory:

The August 2008 Northern Territory gave Labor a huge fright and the start of the domino effect around the Nation. Labor went into the Election defending a Large Majority only to be returned to Power in Minority Government. The next Election is due for August 2012.

  • Queensland:

The March 2009 Election resulted in Labor Leader Anna Bligh becoming Queensland’s first Elected Female Premier. The manner in which Premier Bligh handled the Flooding Disaster in early 2011 has steadied the prospects for Premier Bligh. The resignation of Opposition Leader John-Paul Langbroek is unfortunate and may yet cost the Liberal National Party any chance of winning the March 2012 Election.

  • South Australia:

The Rann Labor Government went into the March 2010 Election with a large majority. Faced against South Australia’s first female leader in Isobel Redmond the 2010 Election produced a close outcome and the March 2014 Election is shaping up as Labor’s toughest battle. Isobel Redmond has shown that like Former British Conservative Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher that there is a steely resolve to get the job done.

  • Tasmania:

The Tasmania Election was held on 20 March 2010 on the same day as the South Australia Election. Labor was returned to office in Minority with the Greens and faces a competent Liberal Leader in Will Hodgman. The March 2014 Tasmania Election will be as close and interesting as the 2014 South Australia Election. Tasmania Labor has learnt nothing from New South Wales Labor as the revolving door of Leadership changes continues. Coupled with a Greens Coalition the political situation in Tasmania is volatile.

  • Victoria:

The Victoria State Election on 27 November 2010 gave the Liberal/National Coalition led by Liberal Leader Ted Baillieu and Nationals Leader Peter Ryan a 1 Seat Majority in both Houses of Parliament. The November 2014 Election will be an absorbing contest.

  • Western Australia:

Weeks after the Northern Territory Election the Carpenter Labor Government called an early Election and suffered rejection by the voters. After being drafted back to the Leadership Liberal Leader Colin Barnett took office in September 2008 with Brendon Grylls National Party in Coalition Government. The next Election is due for September 2012. Premier Colin Barnett has since strengthened his position following a By-Election loss for Labor. Stable and competent Government is keeping Premier Barnett on track for a second term in office.

The Joke’s On You Tony

Victor P Taffa

Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Member for the Melbourne based Western Suburbs’ seat of Lalor recently described Opposition Leader Tony Abbott as Tony Rabbit. The jovial exchange came during a Parliamentary debate held recently. This new nickname opens up all manner of conundrums for Mr. Abbott.

Tony Abbott MP or the Mad Monk as many have called him should reflect on being called Tony Rabbit.

Tony Abbott MP is a supporter of the Manly Sea-Eagles Rugby League Team while Prime Minister Gillard supports the Western Bulldogs AFL Team.

Tony Abbott would if the Tony Rabbit name were to apply have to switch allegiances and support the South Sydney Rabbitohs Rugby League Team. South Sydney is the Team supported by Former New South Wales Labor Premier Kristina Keneally.

As an extension to Mr. Abbott supporting South Sydney Rabbitohs one wonders if he would have to relocate and live in Redfern. After moving to Redfern Mr. Abbott may have to also start commuting by Train.

Mr. Abbott currently represents the Warringah Electorate on Sydney’s Northern Beaches where many Manly residents support a Railway to the Northern Beaches.

The mirth of a nickname knows no end for many Politicians.

As Graham Kennedy used to say Joke Joyce.

Prime Minister Gillard And Confused Priorities

Victor P Taffa

Recently on ABC TV a report was aired outlining the rust on Australia’s leading Defence Ships. The Federal Minister for Defence Stephen Smith who is a nice person gave a hand ringing commentary on the situation and yet FAILED to announce the construction of new ships for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).

The ABC TV report also noted that the problem of rust in the ships was so bad was why the Navy was so slow to send Ships to Queensland during the Flooding Disaster in early 2011.

The Royal Australian Navy is 100 years old in 2011 and one of the world’s best Naval Defence Forces. The Defence Minister knowing full well of the rust of Australian Naval Ships should have gone to Cabinet and demanded the expenditure of new vessels.

New Ships for the Navy should have been ordered well in advance of the Centenary of the RAN and not as a matter identical to playing catch up football.

For any Minister of the Crown to use the lame excuse that he/she was not informed by Department Heads is a copout. To make matters worse Prime Minister Gillard as Education Minister in the Rudd Government and Environment Minister Peter Garrett all used similar excuses for failures in BER Programs and Roof Insulation Schemes.

New South Wales Labor Government’s since 1995 have all used identical excuses for failure to build new heavy Railway Lines.

On top of this Prime Minister Gillard is ramming an Industry Destroying Carbon Tax down our throats.

Why does Prime Minister Gillard FAIL to build new Ships for the Royal Australian Navy and at the same time push ahead for an Industry destroying Carbon Tax?

Why does Prime Minister Gillard FAIL to support new Railway and Tramway Lines, High-Speed Rail and a Rail Ferry to Tasmania and at the same time push ahead for an Industry destroying Carbon Tax?

Where are the real priorities for Australia when all current policies are directed at destroying the economic base of Australia?

If the Federal Members for Lyne and New England were fair dinkum they would rescind their shabby deal with the Gillard Government and allow a fresh election to be called for not just a Carbon Tax but the very future of Australia.
