A Record 711 Candidates will be Standing in the 2010 Victorian State Election, overtaking the Previous Record of 707 candidates in 2006.

624 Endorsed Candidates of Registered Political Parties will stand, with the Australian Labor Party and Australian Green Party Fielding Candidates for every Seat.

There are 87 Independent Candidates, an increase of 24 from 2006.

  • The Australian Labor Party has 128 Candidates (88 Lower House, 40 Upper House).
  • The Liberal Party has 113 Candidates (79 Lower House and 34 Upper House).
  • The Australian Greens has 128 Candidates (88 Lower House, 40 Upper House).
  • Family First has 91 Candidates, (69 Lower House and 22 Upper House).
  • Country Alliance has 37 Candidates, (29 Lower House and 8 Upper House).
  • Democratic Labor Party has 67 Candidates (36 Lower House and 31 Upper House).
  • Socialist Alliance Party has 4 Candidates (all standing for the Lower House).
  • The Nationals has 21 Candidates (15 Lower House and 6 Upper House).
