A modern and welcoming administration block and staff facilities have equipped West Morley Primary School with a fresh new look and entrance for students and parents.

Following works to the undercover area completed earlier this year, the new administration building was officially opened today by Education Minister Peter Collier.

“The new administration facilities have transformed the look of the school and will provide extra services for staff and students.” Mr. Collier said.

“There is a medical room, interview room and secure store rooms, along with a reception area and waiting space.”

“There is also a new staffroom and conference room, a fenced car park and principal and deputy principal offices.”

In recent years the school has also received a new library, revitalised oval, outdoor learning area, pre-primary centre and a car park for parents.

The Minister said the covered assembly area was also fitted with roller doors and new flooring.

“Students are enjoying dance and physical education classes now being held here.” Mr. Collier said.

Mr. Collier said there had been an influx of enrolments in kindergarten and pre-primary at West Morley and the new facilities would benefit staff, students and their families.
