Lucinda Wilkins Appointed As Commissioner Of WRCT

New Commissioner For Workers Rehabilitation And Compensation Tribunal

Minister for Building and Construction Guy Barnett has announced that an experienced Tasmanian legal practitioner, Lucinda Wilkins, has been appointed as a Commissioner of the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Tribunal (WRCT).

WRCT Commissioner is also appointed as an ex-officio Commissioner of the Asbestos Compensation Tribunal and is concurrently appointed by the Governor-in-Council to the Motor Accidents Compensation Tribunal, and by the Minister for Justice to the Health Practitioners Tribunal and to the Anti-Discrimination Tribunal.

Ms. Wilkins has over 25 years’ experience in the Tasmanian legal system and has worked in both the private and public sectors, including nearly 19 years as a legal practitioner within the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Office of the Solicitor General.

Ms. Wilkins has most recently held the position of Principal Crown Counsel within the Office of the Solicitor General.
