Sixty five hours is the time it has taken between two Senior Bureaucrats resigning from Queensland Health, the State Opposition said today.

Shadow Minister for Health Mark McArdle said the announcement of the resignation of Deputy Director-General Michael Walsh at 6 pm on Friday, followed by Faileen James’ notice of her departure at 10:30 am Monday morning illustrated just how bad things have got within Queensland Health.

“Two Resignations within two and a half business hours screams of problems within a department that is clearly so far gone.”  Mr. McArdle said.

“No amount of spin can account for these Bureaucrats’ Departure.” Mr. McArdle said.

“Paid in excess of $200,000 each, Mr. Walsh and Ms. James’ departure signals Queensland Health staffs are just as fed up as most Queenslanders with a failing Government Department that continues to fail Queenslanders.”

“The LNP calls on Lucas and Schwarten to follow suit.”  Mr. McArdle said.
