With early voting underway and only 3 days to go until election day, Labor still refuses to submit its policies to the Department of Treasury and Finance for independent costing.

As of 6pm yesterday, the Coalition has submitted 174 policies to Treasury for independent costing.

The Greens have submitted 12 policies to Treasury for independent costing.

The Sex Party have submitted one policy to Treasury for independent costing.

Daniel Andrews and Labor have failed to submit any policies to Treasury for independent costing.

Treasurer Michael O’Brien said that with Labor having already made more than $33.18 Billion of unfunded promises, Daniel Andrews needs to explain to Victorian households how

Labor will pay for its reckless promises.

“Why won’t Labor come clean on the cost of its policies to Victorians?” Mr. O’Brien asked.

“Victorians are already voting in this election but Daniel Andrews refuses to say how he will pay for his reckless promises.”

“Victorians want to know:

  • Where’s the money coming from, Dan?’
  • Higher taxes?
  • Higher charges?
  • More fees?
  • More fines?
  • More debt?
  • Putting the budget into deficit?” Mr O’Brien asked.

“Victorians remember the last time Labor was in Government. Victorians paid for Labor’s desal through higher water bills, they paid for the smart meter debacle through higher power bills and they paid for Labor’s myki mess in higher public transport fares.” Mr. O’Brien said.

“Daniel Andrews and Labor are showing contempt for Victorians by continuing to hide their costings.”

“Victorians simply cannot trust Daniel Andrews and Labor to deliver on their promises.” Mr. O’Brien said.
