Two New Board Appointments For TAC

The Andrews Government is pleased to announce the appointment of two new directors to the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) Board.

Julia Mason and Louisa Hudson this week joined the Board, bringing with them a wealth of experience in strategy, safety, legal and finance.

“Julia Mason and Louisa Hudson both bring excellent skills to the Transport Accident Commission boardroom their knowledge will contribute to a stronger TAC scheme.” Minister for Finance Robin Scott said.

“Their expertise across strategy, safety, legal and finance roles will be a valuable contribution to the TAC Board as it works to meet its mission to be the world’s leading social insurer.”

Julia Mason is the Executive Officer of the National Stem Cell Foundation of Australia. She has a background in strategy, finance and operations within the energy, advertising, finance, transport and fundraising areas.

Louisa Hudson is the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing at NAB. She has a legal background, including seven years as Senior Legal Counsel at WorkSafe Victoria.

The TAC Board is responsible for the governance of the Commission, ensuring the scheme is managed efficiently and to the maximum benefit of the people of Victoria.

Its roles include safeguarding the assets of the TAC scheme, ensuring the reliability of financial reports and compliance with all relevant laws.

Members of the TAC Board are nominated by the Minister for Finance and the Minister for Roads and Road Safety before being appointed by the Governor-in-Council.

“The skills that the two new directors will bring to the boardroom will help ensure Victorians continue to have a scheme that is the envy of every state.” Minister for Roads and Road Safety Luke Donnellan said.

The new appointments bring the number of non-executive TAC directors to eight.
