  • The number of employees involved in industrial disputes in the September Quarter 2010 was 16,000, an increase from 13,900 in the June Quarter 2010.
  • There were 46,600 working days lost due to industrial disputation in the September Quarter 2010, an increase from 24,000 in the June Quarter 2010.
  • The Coal Mining Industry accounted for 20,800 (45%) of the total number of working days lost in the September Quarter 2010. The Coal Mining Industry also had the highest number of working days lost per thousand employees (466.3) for the Quarter.
  • In the September Quarter 2010, New South Wales accounted for 19,400 (42%) of working days lost. New South Wales also had the highest number of working days lost per thousand employees (6.3) for the Quarter.
