Hodgman Liberal Government is committed to driving reforms that achieve better outcomes for Tasmanians in need.
Minister for Human Services Jacquie Petrusma has announced the appointment of a new Deputy Secretary for Children and Youth Services to oversee vital work in these critical fields.
“Experienced public servant Ginna Webster will take on the role after many years with the Department of Justice, for which she was most recently the Deputy Secretary with responsibility for the Administration of Justice.” Ms. Petrusma said.
Ms. Webster was also formerly the Director of Community Corrections, and before joining the Tasmanian public service she had a career with Australian Customs, both here and interstate.
Her extensive experience and skills in leadership, change management and developing strategic direction will be invaluable as we continue to implement important reforms.
“On behalf of the Government, I wish to thank Ross Smith for acting in the role of Deputy Secretary for the past nine months.”
“Ross has made a significant contribution to building capacity in CYS, including the implementation of Safe Kids-Safe Families, our $20.6 Million redesign of Child Safety Services.” Ms. Petrusma said.
