Fans heading to tonight’s Strikers Big Bash match can again take advantage of free public transport as the State Government helps to reduce costs for cricket matches at Adelaide Oval.
“Our first season of free public transport for the cricket has been a huge success so far with thousands taking of the services for the Test match and Strikers games.” Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Stephen Mullighan said.
It’s the first year public transport is free for cricket fans and tonight’s match will be the last home game for the Strikers this season.
To cater for the crowd, there will be free dedicated Adelaide Oval Express buses as well as extra train and tram services.
“Adelaide Oval Express services are a safe and efficient way to transport hundreds of thousands of people to and from the oval events every year.” Mr. Mullighan said.
Passengers can also present their ticket or member’s pass on-board any Adelaide Metro train, tram or bus to travel free to and from Adelaide Oval.
