Over 284,000 Enrolled To Vote In The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Election

Over 27,600 more people will be able to vote in this year’s ACT Legislative Assembly election, compared with the electoral roll for the last election in 2012.

The rolls for the 15 October election closed on Friday 16 September.

 

“There are 284,350 electors on the roll for this election an increase of 27,648 on the 256,702 who were enrolled for the last election in 2012.” ACT Electoral Commissioner, Phillip Green, said today.

“In 2016, 145,796 females, 138,528 males and 26 electors with unspecified gender will be eligible to vote.” Mr. Green said.
