  • Ellenbrook Police Station will operate 24/7 from July 24, 2017
  • Around-the-clock opening hours will meet key election commitment
  • Expanded service will ensure improved community access to Police and provide a safe haven for victims

Ellenbrook Police Station will be opening around-the-clock from July 24, 2017, meeting a key election commitment by the McGowan Government.

“For the past 8 years, Ellenbrook has been left behind and endured a litany of broken promises.” Minister for Police Michelle Roberts said.

“Ellenbrook is part of one of the fastest growing urban corridors in Australia, so it makes sense to invest in quality local services.”

“I would like to thank the Member for Swan Hills Jessica Shaw for her tireless campaigning to see this commitment come to fruition.” Ms. Roberts said.

Increased level of service will ensure people requiring a safe haven those fleeing domestic violence, feeling threatened or in danger can access Police at any time of the day or night.

“Crime and community safety concerns were issues I heard again and again during the election.” Swan Hills MLA Jessica Shaw said.

Commitment to deliver three additional 24-hour Police stations at Ellenbrook, Armadale and Cockburn will see local residents enjoy the same level of service as residents living in the inner city.
