Early Voting Opens On Wednesday

The Roll has closed for the Broadmeadows District State By-Election with 37,424 electors on the roll. This is an increase of 281 electors since the 2010 State election.

Election Day is Saturday, 19 February and it is compulsory to vote in the By-Election if you are enrolled in Broadmeadows District.

Early Voting centres will be open from Wednesday, 2 February to Friday, 18 February at the following locations:

  • Broadmeadows Early Voting Centre (EVC)
    The Gateway Business Park Office C1
    1-13 The Gateway, Broadmeadows
  • Victorian Electoral Commission
    Level 9, 505 Little Collins Street
    Melbourne

Early Voting is available during the following hours:

  • Monday – Friday

8.30 am – 6.00 pm

  • Saturday, 12 February

9.00 am – 2.00 pm

  • Thursday, 17 February

8.30 am – 8.00 pm

  • Friday, 18 February

8.30 am – 6.00 pm

Early voting closes at 6.00 pm sharp on Friday, 18 February.

Those unable to vote early or on Election Day can apply for a postal vote. Postal voting application forms can be obtained from any post office in Broadmeadows District, the VEC website (vec.vic.gov.au) or by calling 1300 551 575.

Applications for postal votes must be received by 6.00 pm on Thursday, 17 February and completed ballot papers must be in the mail or handed to a voting centre manager before 6:00 pm on Election Day, Saturday, 19 February.
