Minister for Information Technology and Innovation Michael Ferguson has announced that BSchool, after consultation with the Office of the Coordinator-General, will be expanding the national event Idea Nation and bringing it to Tasmania as Idea Island, to be held in Launceston in 2017.

“The Hodgman Government is committed to exploring innovative ways to support business growth and the economy as this is a fantastic event for Tasmania that will showcase the State’s entrepreneurial business potential.”

BSchool is a specialist business school whose vision is to kickstart the creative economy, and it supports emerging entrepreneurs, startups and small businesses by connecting them to BSchool’s mentors, Australia’s top entrepreneurs and leaders.

“Idea Island will be a national search to find Australia’s next big idea, and being held in Launceston will allow opportunities for emerging start-ups and small businesses to develop and grow here.” Mr. Ferguson said.
