Andrea Tsalamandris Appointed As A Judge Of The County Court

Attorney-General Martin Pakula today announced the appointment of Andrea Tsalamandris as a judge of the County Court of Victoria.

Ms. Tsalamandris has more than 21 years’ legal experience and will bring a wealth of expertise in civil and personal injury law to the bench.

“Judge Tsalamandris will be a huge asset to the County Court. Ms. Tsalamandris brings considerable civil law experience to the bench and is renowned as one of this state’s leading personal injury lawyers.” Attorney General Martin Pakula said.

“She is a strong advocate for pro bono legal services, evidenced by her work in the Stolen Generation litigation.”

Prior to her appointment, Ms. Tsalamandris was a partner at Adviceline Injury Lawyers, a division of Holding Redlich, and headed the Personal Injuries Department.

“I congratulate Ms. Tsalamandris on her appointment and look forward to her ongoing contribution to the Victorian justice system.” Attorney General Pakula said.

A strong advocate for pro bono legal services, she acted for members of the Stolen Generation and has served as a Relationship Partner with the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law.

Ms. Tsalamandris holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from Monash University.
