Victorians Win Big At Australian Training Awards

Minister for Higher Education and Skills Peter Hall has congratulated Victoria’s winners at the Australian Training Awards announced last night in Brisbane. With Victoria’s Colin Wilson taking out the major award of Apprentice of the Year.
“To win an award at the Australian Training Awards is the icing on the cake for these outstanding Victorians.” Mr. Hall said.
“They have done themselves and their state proud.”
“These individuals and organisations have already demonstrated excellence in their field of vocational education and training by being named the winner in their category as part of the Victorians Training Awards and now they have been recognised as the best in the nation in their field.”
The 2011 Australian Training Award are the peak national awards for the vocational education and training (VET) sector, recognising and rewarding organisations and individuals for their outstanding contribution to skilling Australia.
“Skills are vital to Victoria’s future and supporting the development of skills is essential to the ongoing prosperity of the state.” Mr. Hall said.
