The allegations in today’s The Age newspaper are just that – baseless allegations.

The companies and individual mentioned (Brown Consulting, Brown and Tomkinson and Gary Spence) have never made a donation to the Victorian Liberal Party.

I have not had any contact regarding the Ventnor rezoning with the companies or individual, except for the original letter an employee of Brown and Tomkinson sent to me about the rezoning which was processed by the Department and the form letter I sent in return. I have never spoken to the companies or individual about Ventnor, nor met with them.

My correspondence with Brown and Tomkinson was made known to the Bass Coast Shire Council.

The story is tenuous at best and has no basis in fact. It is conspiratorial nonsense.
