Police investigate rock-throwing attack – M7 Motorway
Police are hunting those responsible for an apparent rock-throwing attack today on the M7 Motorway at Rooty Hill, in Sydney’s West.
A 42-year-old woman has told Police she was driving her black BMW sedan south in lane two of the Motorway just before 11.30am when the vehicle was struck by clumps of rock, thrown from the Eastern Road overpass.
The car was travelling around 100km/h when the rocks shattered the vehicle’s tinted sunroof, showering the woman with glass.
The uninjured driver pulled to the side of the motorway and contacted Police.
The BMW was photographed by Police and towed from the scene due to the large amount of broken glass within the vehicle.
