Cars seized, licenses suspended after two men caught street racing – Revesby

Police have confiscated two cars after the drivers were allegedly caught street racing in Revesby yesterday (25 January).

About 7pm Bankstown Highway Patrol were patrolling Milperra Road as part of Operation Safe Return.

The officers observed two vehicles – a red Honda CRX and a grey Honda Integra – being driven West along Milperra Road.

Both drivers then accelerated through the intersection of Milperra Road and Edgar Street at a speed of no less than 120 kp/h.

The highway patrol officers stopped the vehicles and charged the two drivers a 20-year-old man from Roselands and a 21-year-old man from Punchbowl with street racing and exceed speed by more than 45 kph.

Both men had their cars confiscated and their licenses suspended on the spot.

The men will appear before Bankstown Local Court on February 18, 2010.
