Man arrested in Victoria after Westmead death
A man will appear in a Melbourne court tomorrow where NSW Police, investigating the suspicious death of a woman at Westmead, will formally seek his extradition to NSW.
Police from Holroyd Local Area Command attended a house in Houison Street shortly before midnight on 29 December after receiving reports a woman had been injured in a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, they located the woman believed to be a 29-year-old Indian National deceased. She had sustained a knife wound to the throat.
A crime scene was secured and examined by local detectives and Specialist Forensics Officers.

Southern Cross Railway Station, Melbourne
A 23-year-old man was arrested this afternoon as he was alighting from a bus at Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station by Victoria Police.

Victoria Police to extradite Westmead man
It is expected he will be formally charged with murder prior to his extradition hearing.
North West Metropolitan Region Commander Assistant Commissioner Denis Clifford wished to thank the public and the media for their assistance in locating the man.
